Obits Pty Ltd was formed in the later part of 2005 to develop and operate Obits.com.au. 

What has astounded me is the fact that in a country, as big and wide as Australia, there is no one access point for the general public to look up current death notices, funeral notices and obituaries from the comfort of their own keyboard.

In today’s internet orientated Australian population, with an exponential growth in broadband connections, people expect to answer most of their enquiries online.

To this end Obits.com.au has set out to satisfy an unmet need in the marketplace and by so doing create an all Australian website.

The aim of Obits.com.au is simple. Anyone with internet access will be able to go to the site and enter a free search for the death notice, funeral notice or obituary of a recently deceased person.

Notices remain in the main search for 28 days, and then they are moved to the archive section, where they can be searched.
