Death

The death of a friend or family member can be a very traumatic time for a person. If you have recently had a loved one die, may I extend my sympathy to you.

One of the purposes of the Obits.com.au site is to ease the burden of those family members who are experiencing grief.

Typically someone wanting to find out the details of a funeral will need to watch the newspaper for notices. However, often people don’t buy papers on a daily basis, or may miss the day that the death or funeral notice appeared.

Another avenue available is to have a family member or friend make or receive numerous phone calls in an effort to reach and inform as many people of the death and funeral as possible.

Let’s face it, this is a stressful enough time as it is, without the added communication burden.

Sometimes people will contact the funeral director as a way of keeping up to date with the funeral arrangements. This puts an unfair burden on their staff, particularly if the funeral is a large one.

Obits.com.au aims to list a vast majority of death notices and funeral notices in Australia. So if you are looking for death or funeral details, or a way of communicating these details, please click the link below.
