My deepest condolences to Mrs Garwood on the sad, sad loss of Andrew. I had a good friendship with Andrew while at school and was delighted late last year to share many emails with him from abroad. In such a short time, Andrew touched so many people and was an amazing man who only knew kindness. He will be sadly missed and we will keep him and the family in our thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathy to the Garwood family during this most difficult time. It is so very sad. I wasn't close to Andrew, but I cannot help admiring the life he lead and the joy he felt. Despite some hardships, he always smiled, he always stood tall and always stood proud. God Bless him and his family.

To Mrs Garwood I'm deeply sorry to hear of the loss of your son Andrew. I was a good friend of Andrew at St Augustine's. Myself, Andrew and Paul Yendle, and Matthew Gausden shared a close friendship with Andrew during and outside of school time. Some years ago I recall bumping into Andrew at Artarmon station and spending some time with him on the train. Despite Andrew encountering some adversity during his school years, it was clear when seeing him that he was a successful young man. Successful in his job as an accountant, successful in his self confidence and esteem, and more importantly successful in the manner in which he carried himself and treated others as shown in the enduring friendships he had with such people as the Yendles and Matt Gausden. For this I congratulate you as a parent. Through having re-established contact with the Yendles and from this Matthew Gausden, Andrew was often mentioned endearingly in our conversations, and I felt it was a matter of time before I would be re-acquainted with my good friend. My sincere sympathies. Stephen Roche

Mrs Garwood, I'm so sorry for this loss. I knew Andrew personally for 4 years. I was also his personal trainer for about 18 months. We met pretty much every week, or fortnightly dependent on his work. He was so committed to getting back into shape. He joked about how his doctors wouldn't recoginse him due to the amount of weight he had lost!! He was also devoted to you and the farm. Talking endearingly about you and your daughter. I was and still am in shock with his death. He was always so willing to help anyone. His heart was as gold as the sky is blue. You are no doubt so proud of him. I'm glad to have known him for as long as i did. I only wish it had been for longer. Warm Regards Pip Sanders

My deepest condolences to all of the Garwood family. Although I didn't know Andrew that well, we had met through the gym that we both worked out at, I did have the opportunity to get to know Andrew just a little. I found him to be a very intelligent, warm and kind person, he will be thought of and missed. God Bless!
