I am sorry I haven't written sooner but I have only just brought a computer, my thoughts are with Belinda's family and Rove. I attended the Carols in the Domain in Sydney in December, and the beautiful performance of Belinda's brother was just lovely, she was a great actress and a great ambassador for breast cancer. My oldest 2 children used to go to ST JOHN THE BAPTIST AT WOY WOY, where I believe Belinda was once a student. I think of her all the time. DEARLY LOVED SADLY MISSED.

I remember the first time I came to work in Australia (Queensland, Sunshine Coast). The first show I watched on your television was Rove Live. I loved it so much i made a point to watch when it was screened. I got to know more about Rove and the woman in his life....Belinda Emmett.

I am so sad that she had to leave "us" all behind....Rove my heart goes out to you. I am sadden by your lost.I cannot imagine the pain,tears and missing of you sweet,angel wife. I have had you and Belinda in my thoughts through all the years you have been together and struggling with Belinda's illness. When you got married i was so happy for you both and thought boy are they the ultimate couple absolutely beautiful together, And when Belinda passed away Rove, i laid in my bed and prayed that some how you would find the strength to get through this. I know you will with the help of friends and family but its those times when you are alone and left with your memories that are the worst i have put in my prayer to god to be there for you at those times. I lost my Dad in June suddenly and i struggle and i couldnt cope if i lost my partner . But i guess the memories and i recon Belinda herself would find away to send down that bit of extra power to get going . Rove you are such a loved Australian and you and Belinda were and in my mind always the most fantastic people and inspirational couple I love you both for the great hope and will you send. I hope you get to read this Rove take care hope to see you back on the screen soon we miss you Remember Belinda is always with you.

Belinda was one of the most beautiful, talented, intelligent, amazing and outstanding individuals on earth. Her talent amazed me. I will remember her forever she was inspiring to all who met her. Even to those who didn’t. May you know that the Lord is looking after her in heaven and she's waiting for you. "Characters live on in our hearts forever but human bodies pass". Belinda may not be here with you now but her spirit and character will always remain with you. The fun times should be remembered bad times forgotten.

I lost my mum three years ago when I was eleven only 38, I lost a friend around grade two he was the same age no one told me he died I found out through a newspaper article and I was in love with him at the time, I’m losing my Poppy now from cancer. Most of the people who died I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one. You don’t expect these things to happen. No one does. Fairytales talk about someone dying in a way that doesn’t effect you in real life. No one knows how it feels until it happens. The preparing of something bad cannot compare to the losing of a loved one.

To Rove:
Don’t shut away from the world let people comfort you.
The worst mistake made is to shut away.
I know it sounds hard not to but Belinda would want you to keep going.
Don’t give up.
Don’t let the world around you collapse.
Take the photos show the World.
Remember the treasure Belinda brang.

Watching All Saints on DVD was the hardest thing I'd done in a while I started crying when Belinda appeared as Jodi Horner. I know it would not compare to how you feel. I'm a huge fan of the show and some of my favourite episodes were ones which Belinda was in. A good memory is one when she had to pretend she was choking and then really started choking she made me fall of my chair in laughter. Another one is when Terri was trying to tell Jodi about the clothes she was wearing. I was again falling of my chair laughing. Photos and videos can be taken to remember times when someone’s gone but it doesn’t give you that feeling that they are still here. Looking at them may help to remember the good times.

I am not sure if you have the time or energy to read any of these messages but if you do, know that there are a lot of people out there that thinking of you.

Belinda never ceased to amaze me with her courage and strength; a quality that is very rare today. I was very shocked to hear of her passing which only goes to show how brave she was. Losing someone so close is probably one of the hardest experiences one has to endure in their life. I lost my father on my 30th birthday which was also 2 weeks before Christmas. He was my hero and my best friend and I felt very lost for a long time. But I can tell you this - the grief does subside and life does get a bit easier each day. We must always remember that life is very short – for some - sometimes too short.

People have many words to say but the sorrow that you are feeling is unexplainable. I lost my husband with cancer, he was 32 and left me with young children, and one thing that I have learnt in this horrible experience is that we must go on for ourselves and our lost loved ones. You will look at things in life so differently without generalizing and being judgmental, not saying this is what you do, its the outlook of life feels so unpredictable. I had the privilege of attending senior high school with Belle at Corpus Christi College and since her stardom could not speak highly enough of her to all who listened. Such a sweet and unassuming person, always willing to acknowledge all who came before her. Sadly since schooling our paths did not cross again, though her success kept me informed. I was extremely upset to hear the news of her passing in the prime of life. Life can be truly so unfair. Our 15th school reunion will be held on the 10th December 06, a day that won’t be the same without her. To Rove my deepest sympathy, you are truly an amazing person. Dear Rove,
Belle will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. I am so sorry for your loss just now.
I had a brother-in-law who died from leukaemia also in his 30’s. He endured 8 long years of chemo and radiotherapy, bone marrow transplants and a few remissions. When he thought he had defeated the ‘beast’ it turned around and came back, this time with a vengeance, and within a few months he passed away peacefully. Then…my sister-in-law, his widow was diagnosed 2 years ago with breast cancer. She opted for the breast to come off, and all the cancer was removed, and now has been given a clean bill of health. Thank you for allowing us to share a little part of the fairytale you and Belinda had with each other. And importantly, remember to always keep that love inside your heart forever, don’t let grief get you bitter and angry for too long. Belinda was beautiful and you where the luckiest man to share a life with her, even if it was cut short. When in time you move on with your life, Belinda will still always be there inside you, trust me on that! You never lose someone forever; you just misplace them for a while’.

Belinda never lost her beauty, radiance, grace or elegance throughout her plight. I remember seeing the last photo taken of her in public. She was wearing an emerald kind of silky top with a black waistband and I was just in awe of how beautiful she looked. Her beauty both in and out will always be remembered.
