Dear Rove,The Emmett Family and The McManus Family

My heartfelt sympathies to all of you and everyone who was fortunate to have their lives touched by this fantastic woman. I remember waiting in line for hours and then sitting in a park for hours more just to hear Belinda sing at the Kings Park Valentines Day Concert and waiting 2 years later to watch her sing again. I remember all of the roses each of my friends took to give to her and the photograph I was lucky enough to have with Belinda after the concert. Belinda is an inspiration for all and Australia will miss her greatly.

All my love to her families. Taryn XXX

Dear Rove,

Having recently experienced cancer with my partner, I was genuinely grieved to hear of Belinda's passing. I can't think of the right words to offer except thank you. No circus, no histrionics, you gave her dignity with your privacy.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family, Rove and to Belinda's family and friends.

God bless

To dear Rove and the Emmett Family,
The world seems a sadder place with the passing of the beautiful Belinda. May she rest in peace and may you gain your strength knowing that Heaven's newest angel is no longer suffering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. My father died of cancer and I often think it is not fair but in that imagine not knowing at all .then think how lucky you are.

We have watched this beautiful girl battle long and hard over the past 8 years, and every time you seen her in public, that beaming, gorgeous smile lit up the tv screen. You have taught us all so much Belinda, how to be strong, how to overcome pain and how to love and appreciate our lives. To your Mum and Dad, thank you for sharing this wonderful girl with us and to Rove, may you find the strength to get up tomorrow and the next day and the next. Your best friend may be gone, but she will always be right by your side, guiding, loving and smiling that beautiful smile. Rest In Peace Belinda. xxxxx

The loss of a loved one to the Cancer beast is always a hard thing to face. When the person claimed is one who was so vital, beautiful and alive both inside and outside it is indeed a tragedy of monumental proportions.
My deepest sympathies to Rove and both the Emmett and the MacManus extended families. May each passing day help you remember with a smile the sweetness of Belinda's life.

To Belinda's husband and families,
Thank you for sharing beautiful Belinda with us. She has changed my life and appreciation of each day and each obstacle in life, and I had never even met her. There was a wonderful aura about Belinda that left such a fantastic impression and touched other hearts in a brilliant way. Her memory will not be forgotten. Many people will continue to call on that wonderful strength and sense of peace she displayed so genuinely. I think Belinda was chosen to fulfil a special purpose on this earth and that no other individual could have done that as well as she did. I thank God and her husband and families for sharing her with those whose lives she has touched so profoundly. Take care and rest, knowing she is in peace.
Sarah.

My family and I were saddened today at the news of the passing of Belinda Emmett. She was the most inspiring person to watch on the media and has become a household name to every Australian. Someone with such an amazing spirit and energy will never truly leave her loved ones. Instead, she will walk beside them every day to give them love and strength at this very difficult time. I know you will feel her presence always because an energy so wonderful never really dies.

You did not have to know her personally to see the loving and incredibly strong person that she was.

Thank you Belinda for all that you gave in this world.

Dear Rove, The Emmett family, & McManus Family,
There are no words to say that could ever ease the pain and suffering that you may be feeling, no words can replace the sadness, and sorrow in your hearts. No words can ever mend the loss you are feeling, Belinda is truly a remarkable person whom never showed her pain, she suffered silently, yet she smiled through out, she was a true angel sent here from above,

I want to offer my Prayers To You.
May ArchAngel Michael watch over Belinda and May ArchAngel Raphael Heal the family and friends that she has left behind.

When Belinda Emmett was on Home and Away in the 90s, she was the quintessential Aussie beach girl with long blonde hair, a toned physique and a year-round tan. Few people at that time would have given her spirit or her courage any thought. She looked without a care in the world and I remember feeling a great amount of envy for how beautiful and carefree she seemed.

When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, I thought that her courage and strength were even more enviable than her beauty.

When a young woman is faced with a terminal illness, she faces the loss of her beauty, her health, her future and her ability to be a mother. In times like this, the true nature of the person shines through. Some people become bitter and angry, others become resigned and depressed, and others like Belinda, rise above their circumstances to become an inspiration and a lesson in living for today for the rest of us, who are fortunate enough to delay dealing with these issues until much later in life.

When Belinda was diagnosed with secondary cancer and it was obviously terminal, her appearance completely changed. I thought that she was far more beautiful at this time, as she looked so serene and delicate. I still envy Belinda. She was a beautiful, courageous and strong woman with an amazing ability to face cancer head on with a dignity and grace that I doubt I would have.

I hope that her family can celebrate these aspects of her life rather than mourn for the time she will not have as this seemed to be Belinda’s philosophy in life: focussing on the positives and dealing with the negatives that cannot be change.

Dear Rove and Emmett and McManus families,

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Belinda's passing. I have always loved her... who couldn't; from when we were at school together, I remember all those fun times. And, then watching her grow into Australia's Golden Girl and feeling immensely proud of her when I saw her on the big screen. We always knew she would make it to the big time. She was an inspiration to all, a beautiful girl, a credit to life. Rove and families, my thoughts are with you at this sad, sad time. Know that you are loved too, and Rove - a credit to you, she chose you to share her time with.... you are a winner. She beats any logie you have ever received. May you rest now Belinda, knowing you have touched the lives of all around you.
Felicity, Wagga

Heartfelt sympathy to Rove and family. Sometimes when a light goes out of our life and we are left in darkness and do not know which way to go, we must put our hand into the hand of God and ask Him to lead us..... And if we let our life become a prayer until we are strong enough to stand under the weight of our own thoughts again, somehow even the most difficult hours are bearable. (Helen Steiner) I found this poem and it touched me so I hope it touches you all at this very sad time. Belinda was a light in so many lives and such a courageous young lady. Her battle is over now and we have to be happy for her even though it is hard to let go. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Renee Buswell Mandurah Western Australia.
